Terms and conditions

Last updated: July 2026

This is placeholder policy text for the Piktura MVP prototype. It is a product-requirement draft, not legal advice, and is pending review by qualified legal counsel before public launch.

These terms govern your use of Piktura and any print product you order. They apply alongside our Privacy policy, Shipping information, and Returns & cancellation policy.

About these terms

Piktura lets you upload photos, generate AI-assisted previews (cleanup, style transformation, triptych, or restoration), and order the result as a framed print, canvas, or triptych set, fulfilled by print partners in the EU.

Your account and content

You must provide accurate information when creating an account or placing an order. You are responsible for the photos you upload, and you confirm you own or have the right to use them, including the consent of any identifiable people shown.

Acceptable use

We reserve the right to refuse or remove content that violates this policy, in line with our sensitive content guidelines:

  • You will not upload illegal, non-consensual, or infringing content.
  • You will not use Piktura to create sexualized images of minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or misleading manipulations of public figures.
  • You will not use copyrighted logos, trademarks, or artwork as the central subject of a generated piece.

AI-generated content

Outputs are AI-assisted. Cleanup, transformation, triptych, and restoration results are generated or modified by AI models and are clearly labeled as such. Colorized restoration results reflect an AI interpretation of original colors, not verified historical fact.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in EUR and include applicable VAT. Shipping costs and delivery estimates are shown before you confirm payment. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

Custom production and cancellation

Every print is manufactured specifically for you after payment. You may cancel free of charge until production begins. Once production has started, cancellation or refund is only available for defects, transit damage, or a fulfilment error — see our Returns & cancellation policy for details on how this relates to the statutory right of withdrawal for custom-made goods.

Print quality

We check every result against print-quality thresholds (resolution, crop safety, and bleed) before it becomes available for ordering, and offer upscaling where needed. We are not responsible for quality issues in a source photo that we could not reasonably detect or correct.

Liability

Piktura is provided on an "as is" basis during this MVP phase. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the price paid for the affected order, except for liability that cannot be limited by law, such as gross negligence, intent, or injury.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected if you are an EU consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
